Food was decent but service was terrible. The waiter didn’t want to bring drinks which were on the menu saying they don’t have them and they are a brewery and if you ordered anything else than beer it’s like you don’t exist and your order takes super long

There is only Kölsch and the house brand does not taste at all. Not even a single beer is on offer. Variety zero stars, the service was so-so ...

So you have to try the Haxen Burger. And the Kölsch is unbeatably tasty anyway. ?

Those who prefer freshly prepared food should look elsewhere. It is pre-cooked, warmed up and served lukewarm. The food was brought to us within 5 minutes of ordering and therefore cannot have been fresh as claimed by the staff. The schnitzel was lukewarm and saggy and the fried potatoes weren't. We like to eat outside and we often have a lot of comparative values, but we rarely ate so badly :-(

The ambience is good and the orders were there quickly. Big deduction: Mice are running through the restaurant !!!

Top service, good food. We were quickly supplied with drinks and the food came within minutes. The schnitzels were very tasty, but we got the impression that the fried potatoes weren't freshly prepared. We missed the music in the background a bit, otherwise everything was great.

Faster and more friendly Köbes, good and delicious food ... you can't ask for more than that, plus a cool, delicious Kölsch on tap.

the Best in Cologne

We came here by reviews and this is supercool place. Huge portions and nice prices. We ordered pork leg and potato pie - both were tasty, it was hard to eat pork - but I made it, as it was good! Also waiting time was very short. Place has old times atmosphere.

Amazing place to visit

There was a table in the square near the entrance, and it was almost full. As you go deeper into the store, a friendly clerk speaks in English and says, "Please sit at your favorite seat. This is the style of Cologne]. When sitting in a seat and waiting, is the table manager better in Kersch? I was able to drink delicious Kersch. Met was also very delicious.

Recommended to us by a local and quite the spectacle. Expect to wait for a table but a great atmosphere, charismatic waiting staff who like to joke and very reasonable prices. ?

Bier has been better

Great brewery / restaurant we visited in August 2019! Fast and friendly service! I ordered a vegetarian dish which was very tasty and my boyfriend ordered a dish with pork, fava beans and pure which was very good too! And let's not forget to talk about the traditional KOLSCH beer which was excellent! And lastly, we ordered a more than traditional German dessert: APFELSTRUDEL (apple strudel) which was served with whipped cream and ice cream !! Super recommend it!

The dishes are wonderful and big, especially The grilled pork knee accompanied by sauerkraut and masched potatoes. Its not a surprise if a bored pet dog are waiting under the table on tour side, for its owner tô finish the meal, it's very common in Germany for pets to have access tô shops and restaurants. If you do not make a prior reservation, you May need a little patience to wait for a table and If there is room at your table it may be that other people Will come and ask to sit with you (another very common Germanic custom). Anyway, its a great place to taste the typical flavors of Könl, with good service and prices whithin what is expected.

Beer is well served, food is not good.

Considered by locals to be one of the best beers in the region, I found it to be on par with others including Paffgen, Which is the other highly thought of brand. As far as atmosphere there are much better places to go.

Usually great spot disappointing today. Tables and seats not clean. Great Kölsch experience and good food. Only had a cured meats plate today with great beer. Enjoyed better with cleaner areas.

Wonderful food and really great warm service. Höhnerbross met Pommes un Salat was fantastic.

Great place to come and eat around Köln they offer good food and lots of beer! When busy there is a great atmosphere. One thing that you should be aware of of this bothers you, you could share a table with a stranger. But other than this the service is great and so is the food. They also offer different menus for different languages.

Great traditional food, the pork knuckle is a must try, we came with our 9 month old son and couldn't get in through the usual entrance but Ritchie was kind enough to help us through the fire exit. Great atmosphere, great Kölsch and great service!

Excellent Brew pub experience.

Brewery mainly frequented by locals. Go there just for drinking the typical koelsch bier, not for eating, since portions are small, tourist-priced and the staff seems annoyed by non-local (very rude behaviour). Moreover this place doesn't accept credit card (or at least they try to dissuade you). 4

Great Kolsch. The place was PACKED with people, great atmosphere. Loved it!

Good food, service and a fair price. One of my favourite Brauhaus since I recently discovered it. Not one of the biggest though, better to book beforehand if possible. I can recommend the Haxe (see pictures) and the Himmel und Äd.

Very good food, don't leave without trying the filet with mushrooms sauce... just amazing. Staff is nice, but they are too busy serving food, which comes very fast.
